All graduates must strictly follow the dress code guidelines :
1. Male graduates (all levels)
Hair
Polite hairstyle without any pattern. It must not be longer than the collar of the gown. It must not cover the left side of the face. Hair must be natural color. Do not dye your hair; or spray on color or highlight in any color. Do not wear a wig or any synthetic hair.
Shirt
Graduates must wear a formal white jacket (Raja pattern) with university seal golden button at the neck and along the shirt. The KMUTT University brooch is pinned on both sides of the collar. On Graduation Day, academic brooch must be pinned on the left side of the gown at chest level.
Trousers
Graduates must wear white trousers. Trousers are not to be too tight or form-fitting. Do not fold the trousers, and they must be in the same fabric as the shirt.
Belt (if any)
Ratchet leather black belt with university buckle, with one black belt loop.
Shoes
Graduates must wear formal black leather shoes without shoelaces; no pattern and no metal attached.
Socks
Graduates must wear plain black socks; calf-length
2. Male graduates (government officials and state enterprise employees)
Graduates must wear white uniform with original affiliation seal and Royal decoration band and academic brooch under the Royal decoration band. For hair, shoes and socks please follow the guidelines in item 1.
3. Female graduates (Bachelors’ degree)
Hair
Polite hairstyle without any pattern. It must not be longer than the collar of the gown. It must not cover the left side of the face. Hair must be natural color. Do not dye your hair; or spray on color or highlight in any color. Do not wear a wig or any synthetic hair.
No accessories allowed.
For Islamic graduates, only white hijab is allowed for KMUTT, and black is for KMITL and KMUTNB.
If graduates need to tie their hair, only black hair bands and clips are allowed.
Shirt
Short sleeve student uniform shirt; not too transparent. Graduates must wear white or beige brassiere with white undershirt, with university seal golden button at the neck and along the shirt. The KMUTT University brooch is pinned on the left chest of the shirt. On Graduation Day, academic brooch must be pinned on the right side of the gown at chest level.
Skirts
Plain knee-length, dark blue skirt, uncompressed, no slitting on the back, not too tight or too narrow. No accessories or longer than the gown. Do not wear skirt pants.
Belt
Ratchet leather black belt with university buckle, with one black belt loop. Do not use paper clip to clip on the belt or skirt.
Shoes
Polite black leather (or synthetic material that is not shiny) shoes which cover toes and heels (not higher than 2 inches). No pattern or metal accessories. No stilettos or wedges are allowed. Female graduates are not allowed to wear men’s style shoes.
Stockings
Plain full body stockings
4. Female graduates (Master or Doctoral degree)
Hair
Polite hairstyle without any pattern. It must not be longer than the collar of the gown. It must not cover the left side of the face. Hair must be natural color. Do not dye your hair; or spray on color or highlight in any color. Do not wear a wig or any synthetic hair. No accessories allowed, and for Islamic graduates, only white hijab is allowed for KMUTT.
Shirt
Graduates have two options:
[1] Plain white shirt with plastic buttons and button up till the bottom of the shirt.
[2] Shirt: Short sleeve student uniform shirt; not too transparent. Graduates must wear white or beige brassiere with white undershirt, university seal golden button at the neck and along the shirt. The KMUTT University brooch is pinned on the left chest of the shirt. On Graduation Day, academic brooch must be pinned on the right side on the gown at chest level.
Skirts
Plain knee-length, dark blue skirt, uncompressed, no slitting on the back, not too tight or too narrow. No accessories or longer than the gown. Do not wear skirt pants.
Belt
Plain black leather or ratchet leather black belt with university buckle, with one black belt loop. Do not use paper clip to clip on the belt or skirt. It must be compatible with the shirt that is worn.
Shoes
Polite black leather (or synthetic material that is not shiny) shoes which cover toes and heels (not higher than 2 inches). No pattern or metal accessories. No stilettos or wedges are allowed. Female graduates are not allowed to wear men’s style shoes.
Stockings

5. Female graduates (government officials and state enterprise employees)
Graduates must wear white uniform with original affiliation seal and Royal decoration band and academic brooch under the Royal decoration band. For hair, shoes and socks please follow the guidelines in item 3.
6. Graduates of military and police ranking of Acting Sub-Lieutenant or higher
Graduates must wear their home affiliation with Royal decoration band and complete medals. Academic brooch is pinned on the left chest of the shirt, and on Graduation Day, graduates must bring their military sword with them.
7. Pregnant graduates
Graduates must wear an A-shaped dress which has a plain white shirt and dark blue skirt. For hair, shoes and stockings, please see the guidelines in item 3.
8. Prohibitions for all graduates
❌ Do not have long nails. Do not polish/coat your nails or wear fake nails.
❌ Do not wear false eyelashes.
❌ Male graduates must not wear mustaches or beards.
❌ Graduates using eyeglasses must wear glasses with clear lenses and black frames. If it is metal, it must not be reflective; and for these who wear contact lenses, they must be in natural color; no “big eyes”.
❌ Graduates with visible tattoos must make sure to completely cover them.
❌ All communications devices are strictly prohibited in the ceremony, in any case.
❌ Jewelry, coins, keys, other metals are strictly prohibited in the ceremony. Graduates can bring only one key and one bank note into the ceremony.
❌ Handkerchiefs, facial tissues, blotting paper are strictly prohibited in the ceremony.
❌ Graduates with a medical condition can bring only three doses of their medication with them, and those must be given to the health care unit.
