Q: What is the dress on rehearsal days?
A: On a first and final rehearsal day, dress appropriately as follows:
- Male graduates wear a shirt and polite colored-slacks, closed-toe shoes and a graduation gown. No jeans.
- Female graduates wear a collared blouse with knee-length skirt, closed-toe shoes and a graduation gown.
Final rehearsal day : Dress code is the same as sub-group rehearsal days, wear graduation gown.
You are advised to wear the same pair of shoes to be worn on the graduation ceremony day so that you get used to walking in them.
Q: If I miss one rehearsal or two, what should I do?
A: Graduates cannot miss a rehearsal. They shall not be allowed to attend the ceremony. No exception.

Q: Where can I buy a graduation pin for the gown, shirt collar (male graduates)/ a university pin for the blouse and university metal buttons (female graduates)?
A: Usually, when both male and female graduates have their gowns made at the gown rental shop, the shop will offer them. Male graduates will receive buttons and pins with a raj pattern jacket. Female graduates use the university/institutional blouse pin and metal buttons of the university/institution (student ceremonial uniform). If lost, they can be purchased at the book center or the university stores.
Q: Are graduates whose military or police rank higher than Acting Sub-lieutenant required to bring sword and gloves for rehearsal?
A: Yes, for every rehearsal.
Q: On the graduation ceremony day, can I dye my hair?
A: No, do not dye your hair. No spray, highlight, wigs or hair extension. Only polite hairstyle, not bashful, and keep the left side of the face open. Male graduates”’ hair is not longer than the collar of the gown. Female graduates: If you need to wear a hairband or clip, use a normal black color. (Refer to the graduation ceremony manual)
Q: What are the colors of headscarves for female Muslim graduates?
A: White for KMUTT and black for KMITL and KMUTNB.
Q: Can I wear a watch to my graduation ceremony?
A: Watches or any accessories are not allowed.
Q: Any requirement or restriction for belt color?
A: Please wear only a smooth black belt without design.
Q: Are female graduates required to wear stockings and what color?
A: Female graduates are required to wear full-body, plain beige stockings.
Q: Can male graduates wear shoes with laces to the graduation ceremony?
A: Yes. However, a black tape must be attached at the end of the laces to the shoes to prevent the shoelaces from falling and the wearers stepping on it.
Q: Any rule for female high heel shoes?
A: There is no restriction. But we recommend not higher than 2 inches for safety and the comfort of your feet and ankles. This reduces the risk of ankle sprains and fatigue as you will have to walk and stand for long periods of time on the day of the ceremony. Stilettos are not recommended as it is difficult for you to balance and you may risk stumbling on the floor mats and tripping in the ceremonial room.
Q: Where can I contact if I lost my belongings?
A: You can inquire at the service counter to check if someone has collected your belongings and brought them there. Public announcement is not available as it is reserved for ceremonial announcement only. There is no luggage storage service; therefore, graduates should leave their belongings with the family or friends. Please do not bring valuables.
Q: Where and when can I order photos, and can I order through faculties or via Facebook?
A: Graduation photos ordering is available on the following dates and locations.
- Nov 11-12, 2023: a mezzanine floor, King Mongkut’s 190th Anniversary Memorial Building.
- Nov 13-16, 2023: in front of Room EH101 and in Room EH 100, BITEC Bangna.
Just fill out the booking form, choose your package and make a payment there. No booking through Facebook.
Q: Can the photos of previous graduation be reprinted?
A: Yes, please contact New Salon 1999 Co., Ltd. at 0-2223-2276. (The shop keeps the files for 10 years.)
Q: If I do not wish to attend the ceremony, do I have to inform the University, and will I get a certificate afterwards?
A: Once you have registered the graduation but do not wish to attend the ceremony, you are not required to inform the university. You can receive the certificate approximately one week after the ceremony.
Q: What happen if I cannot report myself and lineup in time?
A: If you cannot make it, you are not allowed to attend the ceremony.
Q: Before entering the ceremony room, if metal or prohibited items are detected and collected by the officer, when can I get them back after the ceremony?
A: Please check a list of prohibited items in the manual. To get the items back, please contact the graduate management committee.
Q: What should I do if I become suddenly ill during the ceremony?
A: In case of sudden illness, please notify the nearest officer.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of relatives to attend the ceremony?
A: There is no limit on the number of relatives.
Q: Is there a parking card for graduates at BITEC?
A: There is no parking card for the Academic Year 2022.
Q: Is there a fee for parking at the underground parking lot of BITEC on the rehearsal days and the graduation ceremony day?
A: On Rehearsal and Ceremony Days
- Parking lot (outside) P2, P3, free parking for the first 3 hours, 4th-12th hours, a flat rate of 100 baht (if more than 12 hours, additional 20 baht per hour)
- Underground parking lot B1-B3, free parking for the first 30 minutes, parking more than 6 hours, a flat rate of 120 baht. Park no later than 10:00 p.m. Not allowed to park overnight.
